MY ROYAL DETOX
Leave the outside world behind (momentarily) and boost your energy for autumn, this is the promise of this Clarins protocol which has just been added to the menu of My Blend by Clarins Spa and Le Bar Long. For half a day or a full day, come and let go and invite your body and mind to regenerate.
First with a 60-minute private coaching session in the discipline of your choice (yoga, pilates, fitness, boxing, swimming, aquagym, aquabike) followed by a one-hour Clarins treatment. Are you more of a Silhouette Expert, for a slimming protocol? Or a Balancing Massage to relax?
Once your body is invigorated and soothed, the journey continues at Le Bar Long table where you can choose between a detox breakfast or a well-being lunch that will continue to soothe both body and mind. For lunch, this wellness menu features a tasty pan bagnat revisited, but sweet palates will not be left out since Quentin Lechat has imagined for My Royal Detox, a Coconut and Bitter Orange parfait generously topped with dark chocolate sauce from Madagascar. Light and tasty. Sounds like the South.

WELLNESS MENU BY CLARINS
The long awaited re-opening of Le Bar Long has a surprise in store: Dr Olivier Courtin-Clarins and Filipe Da Assunçao, Executive Chef of Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, have created a healthy street-food dish based on Nice’s famous pan bagnat sandwich.
The tone is set, this Autumn will be colourful, fresh, delicious and full of panache. And this speciality from the South of France, the Pan Bagnat Niçois will be the seasonal menu sensation!
The recipe has been tweaked and twisted, making it better-than-good, and good for you.
Together, Dr Olivier Courtin-Clarins and the Chef have crafted a nutritionally-balanced version of this Mediterranean holiday-makers’ favourite. They start with homemade bread using whole wheat flour and seasoned with fennel seeds. Each oversized bun is sliced in half and spread with light onion cream on one side and creamed tuna on the other. Now it’s ready to welcome all the ingredients of a self-respecting pan bagnat. First the tuna, in oil, dressed up like of a tuna tataki, marinated in lime juice and zest, grated yuzu and paprika before being pan-fried to perfection. Then comes the veggie layer, a combo of rocket for bitter notes, firm and flavourful cherry tomatoes, quail eggs and a few Taggiasche olives from Nice (where else ?).
For dessert, Olivier Courtin-Clarins consulted with Quentin Lechat, the new Pastry Chef at Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, to come up with a healthy way to finish the meal in style. Riding the holiday wave, they chose coconut in all its myriad forms – sugar, milk and grated – melded into an ice cream parfait. Hidden at the heart of the ice cream is a sweet surprise, a crispy meringue, also made with coconut sugar, and bitter orange marmalade flavoured with a few roasted buckwheat seeds. The parfait is sprinkled with a fine coating of roasted coconut, adding subtle toasty flavour. Served with a dab of hot chocolate sauce prepared like a jus court, it will tickle your senses with seaside memories.
This well-balanced and satisfying autumn menu, inspired by summertime fare, gently eases you back into workaday life, leaving you full of vim, vigour and joie de vivre.
Available at Le Bar Long every day from 12pm to 6pm
