Sophie Panama Hat - Borsalino

The Sophie Panama Fine hat is bold and fun.

It has a 10cm wide brim with a contrasting 4cm grosgrain band. The production of Borsalino straw hats begins in Ecuador, where the local straw is harvested from the stems of the toquilla palm tree, which is then boiled and dried in the sun. Expert Ecuadorian artisans then weave the straw by hand, producing extremely fine semi-finished bells. After meticulous quality control, the bells are sent to the House of Alexandria. They are checked again before the first moulding: a hydraulic press machine creates the shape and size of the hat. The process is repeated to create the traditional Borsalino shape. The excess straw is cut off and the end of the brim is sewn on. The hat is then straightened and allowed to dry slowly. The inner band is then sewn on, followed by final shaping with the hydraulic press. The braid is added and the brim is reinforced before the hat goes through the final stages of decoration, stitching, final inspection and packing, all done by hand. This is the art of the hatter. The size of this hat is a standard measurement based on head circumference. Made in Italy

Altaïr Candle - Trudon

Altaïr stands out in the celestial vault: a brightly shining star, it marks the edge of the constellation of Aquila. Its precious perfume brings the strength of oud and a delicate scent of rose together. Minutely applied to leave fine cracks of light on the surface, gold leaves are wrapped around the scented candle.

A Trudon classic, the Classic Candle fits all occasions; perfumes each and every room. Available in all scents, it is the most iconic. They are manufactured at the Trudon workshop in Normandy, France, using unrivaled know-how inherited from master candle makers.

Olfactory Pyramid:
Head Notes : Raspberry , Peonies
Heart Notes : Agar wood, Sandal wood, Rose
Base Notes : Cedar wood, Leather

Founded in 1643, on the threshold of the reign of Louis XIV, Trudon is the oldest Candlemaker in the world still active today. Throughout the 17th century, the manufacturer became the Royal Wax Manufacturer and official supplier in the French court, then to Napoléon Bonaparte. Trudon received a Gold Medal during the 1889 Universal Exhibit as a reward for the outstanding quality of its candles and wax. Trudon enlists well-known “noses” to create perfumes for the stories it wishes to tell. Each candle is still dripped and made by hand in its factory in Normandy, perpetuating a luxury manufacturing that helps perpetuates the skills of its founder, Claude Trudon.
